たいまん (Procrastination)

私はかがくをべんきょうしたくなくてブログのポストをかきます。

これはフィリピンのドラマです。なまえは"Born for You" です。ふたりはフィリピンからきました。でも、日本にすんでいます。Sam（おんな）は日本語をはなすことができます。

このおんがくは日本語とフィリピン語でうたしました。

サンクスギビング休み

私の休みはとてもつまらなくてひまです。水曜日の六時半に起きて友達とシカゴに出かけました。でも、なにもしませんでした。グループはシカゴにかいものをしにいきましたが私はしたくありませんでした。私たちピザを食べてミレニアムパークにあるいていきました。あとで、スマホをしました。

でも、シカゴ はとてもきれいでにぎやかでした。りょこうはたのしかったです。

木曜日はサンクスギビングデーでした。ともだちのうちにサンクスギビングのばんごはんをたべにいきました。キャンパスのちかくにあります。としょかんのサークルでともだちにあいました。フットボールをみてゆっくりしました。たべものはとてもよかったです。ごじからくじまであそびました。そして、りょうにかえりました。

金曜日にラボにウェイリー先生としごとをしにいきました。そうじをしてけんきゅうをしました。そのあとでかいしゃいんとソホ(日本のレストラン）にばんごはんをたべにいきました。そごくてたのしかったです。

土曜日にしゅくだいをしました。そのばん、ともだちにあってえいがをみました。日曜日にもしゅくだいをしました。

今。。。

いそがしいです。

すみませんみんなさん、私はねむくていそがしいですから今日のポーストとはみじかいです。金曜日にかがくをべんきょうしてえいがをみました。えいがはEasy A でした。おもしろくてたのしかったです。そして、金曜日にフットボールをみました。ざんねんでかなしかったです。あとで、ともだちのうちにばんごはんをたべにいきました。ともだちにあってはなしました。日曜日にR.A.とあさごはんをたべました。そして、しゅくだいをして、べんきょうして、きょうかいにいきました。

私はストレスがいっぱいです。しかたがない。

今週

今週はいそがしかったです。月曜日にアルバイトをしました。そして、かがくの T.A. のじむしょ (office) に 行きました。T.A.とべんきょうしました。

火曜日にせんきょがありました。ムービーナイトもありました。えいがのまえにCSLCにいきました。としょかんせんそうをみました。とてもかわいくておもしろかったです。このえいがすきです。

せんきょもおもしろいです。ともだちとごごじゅうにちじからごぜんさんじはんごろまでビデオチャットをしました。せんきょとかがくをはなしました。

水曜日にせいぶつがくをべんきょうします。木曜日にふたつつのテストがありました。そして、ふたつつのクイズもありました。たいへんでした。

金曜日にクラスがあります。でもあまりわるくありません。あとで、Asian Allure をみました。わたしはじっこ (perform)しませんでした。でも、ともだちはしました。とてもよかったです。

日本のうちとアメリカのうち

My home is not very different than an typical modern Japanese home. にほんのうちはげんかん (mudroom) とはたくはんき (rice cooker) があります。わたしのうちもたくはんきがあります。かぞく (my family) はまいにちごはんをたべます。わたしのはげんかんがありません。でも、ドアでくつをぬぎます (take off shoes)。My house, like many of the homes in America is bigger than those found in Japan. This could be due to America's abilities to spread out more while Japan is limited on space. My house also has a garage used to keep our cars off the street, a feature not typically found in Japanese homes. I'm not entirely sure why this has been incorporated into American home design, but it could have something to do with either weather or security against car theft.


Finally, like in a Japanese home, my family does not knock.

あきやすみ

あきやすみはたのしくてリラクシングです。きんようびににほんごのクラスメートとアイススケートをします。そして、どようびにフットボールをみました。

にちようびにバスでシカゴにいってかぞくをみました。サイトシーイングをします。それからピザとホットドッグをたべました。あとで、アウトレットモールでかいものをしました。

もくようびにノートルダムにかえりました。とてもかなしかったです。でも、ともだちとカラオケをしました。そして、きんようびからにちようびまでしゅくだいをしました。

わたし: ペンギンとカワウソ(otter) がいます。そして、たくさんのさかな (fish) がいますよ。でも、くじら (whale) がいません。
ウェンさん: そうですか。。。みやじまになにがありますか？
わたし: ゆうめいないつくしまじんじゃ (shrine) があります。とても大きいです。
ウェンさん: いいですね。みやじまにいったことがありますか？(Have you ever been to Miyajima?)
わたし: いいえ、いったことがありません。(No, I have not.)

アメリカのスタバとにほんのスタバ

There are many similarities between the American Starbucks and the Japanese Starbucks. For example, both branches of Starbucks serve many of the standard drinks, including the Cappuccino/カプチー, Caramel Macchiato/キャラメルマキアート, espresso/エスプレッソ, and Frappuccinos/フラペチーノ. Both also offer a variety of baked goods and sandwiches. However, the American Starbucks also offers salads and bistro boxes, which are sandwiches or wraps with a side, usually fruit.

The American Starbucks also offers flavors of Frappuccinos and lattes not found in its Japanese counterpart, and vice versa. For instance, depending on the time of year, the American Starbucks will serve S'mores Frappuccinos and Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Frappuccinos. It also serves Cupcake Frappuccinos year-round.

Similarly, the Japanese Starbucks serves ネクタリン ピーチ クリーム フラペチーノ with ティー ババロア, or a peach and nectarine Frappuccino, during certain times of year. It also serves a マンゴー パッション ティー フラペチーノ, or a mango and passion fruit Frappuccino, that is not found in the States.

わたしはハワイしゅうのミリラニからきました。ミリラニはオアフのまんなかにあります。うみがとおくです。でも、やまがちかくです。あまりおおきくありません。そして、あまりいそがしくありません。でも、とてもきれいです。わたしはミリラニがとてもすきです。ミリラニにかえりたいです。

I am from Mililani, Hawaii. Mililani is in the middle of Oahu. It is far from the ocean. However, it is close to the mountains. Mililani is not very big. And, it is not very busy. However, it is very pretty. I like Mililani very much. I want to go back to Mililani.

わたしはこんしゅうまつぐあいがわるかったです。きんようび の ろくじごろ すうがくのしゅくだいをしました。あとで、ダイニングホールにいきました。でも、ばんごはんをたべませんでした。タコベルでタコスをたべました。それから、はやくねました。とてもねむかったです。じゅうじはんごろ ねました。

どようびにそとにあまりいきませんでした。わたしはまだぐあいがわるかったです。おそくおきました。ダイニングホールであさごはんをたべました。ゲームのまえに、ナップがありました。そして、フットボールをみました。それから、わたしはともだちといっしょにともだちのうちでばんごはんをたべました。

こんにちは！

まいにち、わたしはしちじはんにおきます。それから、シャワーをあびます。あさごはん をたべます。こくもつかポップターツをたべます。つぎ、クラスにいきます。たいてい ダイニングハル でひるごはん をたべます。じゅぎょうのあとで、PW にかえります。りょうでべんきょうします。あまりねません。それから、ばんごはんをたべます。ときどき、ダイニングハル で ほん を よみます。じゅう に じ はん に ねます。

じこしょうかい and My Favorite Japanese Things

はじめまして！わたしはゴゼンです。アメリカじんです。いちねんせいです。せんこうはせいぶつがくといがくです。どうぞよろしく。

I have seen two Japanese dramas in their entirety before: はなよりだんご (Boys Over Flowers) and プロポーズだいさくせん (Operation Love). I like both of them because they are very cute love stories with very sweet endings. Out of the two, I like the couple in プロポーズだいさくせん better. They seemed like a more realistic couple and had more chemistry. However, the plot of  プロポーズだいさくせん is more frustrating, and it takes longer for the character to act on their feelings for each other.

My favorite Japanese food is かつ, a fried meat dish. In Japan, the dish is normally made with pork and is equivalent to a pork chop. In Hawaii, though, we have our own version of it made out of chicken instead. It is served in many of the local restaurants with rice and macaroni salad as sides. It is one of the dishes I miss from home!

こんにちは!これはわたしのにほんごのクラスのブログです。

My name is Melissa Gozun, and I am a freshman. I was born and raised in Hawaii, which is right between Japan and the West Coast of the United States. Hawaii's location on the map and its plantation history result in much of Japanese culture becoming apart of everyday life in Hawaii. Like in Japan, most people in Hawaii remove their shoes before entering their homes and eat Japanese favorites like とんかつ or a Hawaiian version of おむすび. We even have our very own Don Quijotes throughout Oahu. Additionally, Japanese tourists often visit the islands while on vacation and play a vital role in the state's economy.

Japanese food and culture have been apart of my life since I was born. I decided to take Japanese to not only learn more about the language, but to also learn about the origins of the culture that is weaved into the fabric of my home state. There are so many similarities between the two that I've noticed so far, and I'm excited to see if there's anything else I did not know about previously!

I'm also excited to (hopefully) watch some J-Dramas (Proposal Daisakusen is my favorite) and (hopefully) eat some Japanese food that reminds me of home. I can't wait to see what this year has in store!
